🥂 2. Making a Toast
A toast is a short

graduation, or special occasion.
Useful Phrases for Making a Toast:
·
I’d like to make a toast to…
·
Here’s to your success and happiness!
·
Let’s raise our glasses to celebrate…
·
Cheers to a bright future ahead!
·
To friendship, success, and dreams that come
true!
Example Toast 1 (Graduation Party):
“I’d like to make a toast to all of us who
have worked hard to reach this day. May our future be filled with success and
joy. Cheers!”
Example Toast 2 (Birthday):

✍️ 5. Writing Practice: My Journey to My Future
Now let’s move to the “Practice IV” part — My
Journey to My Future.
In this section, students write a short reflective paragraph or speech
about their dreams and plans for the future.
Guiding Questions:
1.
What is your dream job or future goal?
2.
Why do you want it?
3.
What are you going to do to achieve it?
4.
Who inspires you?
5.
How will you celebrate when you succeed?
Example Paragraph:
My journey to my future starts with my dream
to become an English lecturer. I’m going to study hard and improve my
communication skills. I believe teaching is my passion because I love helping
others learn. My parents are my biggest inspiration. One day, when I achieve my
dream, I’m going to celebrate by thanking everyone who supported me and making
a toast to my success.
🎓 6. Group Activity: “Future Toast” Presentation
Instructions:
1.
Form small groups (3–4 students).
2.
Each member shares their future plan in a short
1-minute speech.
3.
After all members speak, the group makes a short
toast together.
Example Group Toast:
“Here’s to our bright future — to dreams that
come true and to the friendships that make us strong. Cheers!”
🌈 7. Reflection
Congratulating others and making a toast are
not just about polite English — they’re about showing appreciation, motivation,
and confidence.
When you celebrate others’ success and speak positively about your future, you
build stronger communication skills and a positive mindset.
💡 Homework / Blog Activity
Write an essay titled “My Journey to
My Future” (around 150 words).
Include:
·
Your dream and the reasons behind it.
·
The steps you’re going to take to achieve it.
·
A short congratulation or toast you would give
to yourself in the future when you succeed.
